Could have been great if it arrived in tact!

I was super excited about this item. I shopped for around for months and finally decided to just splurge on this one. It looked great on the internet and in person it definitely serves all your needs. However, when I got it, one of the drawers looked terrible. It looks cracked and like it's about to fall apart. There is visible wood and the chest is suppose to be black. I contacted Home Decorators and asked them to send me a replacement drawer. They told me that they couldn't and I would have to send the item back and order a new one. Seriously. They apparently cannot just send me a good drawer which means they are going to try and resell my defective one.
I would save your money and skip out on this purchase, it's not worth the hassle or the money. Worst customer service EVER!!!!

Don't judge a book by it's cover: Pretty but cheaply made.

I shopped around for months looking for what I wanted. The look of the armoire was just as important as function to me. I read the reviews (there weren't too many) on this and decided to get it in white. It arrived pretty fast and was already assembled. It was very heavy so I needed help moving it around. The styro-foam it was packed in made a mess so have your vacuum ready. Also, it smells really strongly of chemicals and takes about a week to go away. So, I suggest leaving it out in an open spot before putting in a designated room. As for the quality, not so great. There was a gouge in the wood under the top lid, one of partitions had come apart from the sides of the drawer and I had to glue it back in, it doesn't sit level so I had to wedge a peice of balled up paper under one of legs. The drawers have no ball bearings (they just slide against the openings they're in) so they slide very stiffly and get stuck a lot. The grids/partitons in the drawers are very deep and that is where I keep my earrings so its very hard to get them out of there. They should have been cut more shallow. The side doors are hard to open so they usually come flying open with the force needed to open them so your necklaces end up falling off the hooks when the doors are opened. Bottom line, it cost WAY too much for what it is. It should have been less than half the price.

This was an absolutely wonderful find..great quality..came assembled, great finish and hardware..drawers are excellent quality...I couldn't have asked for this to be a better purchase
