Beautiful Jewelry Armoire

I recently purchased this truely beautiful jewelry armorie for my birthday gift. Absolutely love the gorgeous workmanship, quality of wood, etc. It sure compliments our bedroom. My husband had very little assembly and it was packed with care when shipped. It pays to shop and compare as I did not want to settle for just anything.

Cheaply made, damaged, refund refused

The quality of this armoire is terrible! It's made of particle board, so the back left corner was crushed when I unpacked it. Also, there is a huge staining flaw - double diagonal stripes run noticeably across the top piece of the armoire. I immediately tried to get a new one from VisionDecor, the Amazon company who fulfilled the order, but they said it had been discontinued, so I tried to make arrangements to get it picked up and refunded. VisionDecor gave me the runaround for weeks, claiming all kinds of reasons why they hadn't set up the pickup date with the shipping company while the item sat packed in my garage. It turns out they were just letting 30 days pass, so they now claim it's too late to get a refund!! Even though I've been in constant contact with the company and have written proof of the correspondence, Amazon rudely denied my appeal for help, so I had to get my credit card company involved. Long story short...horrible product and literally criminal service.

Powell Porter Valley Jewelry Armoire

The Porter Valley Armoire is a beautiful, well made piece of furniture. The color and details are exceptional. I am excited to organize all of my jewelry since its so spacious. There are only a few suggestions that I would consider prior to purchasing this piece. Even though the armoire was well packaged, there were some minor defects. My armoire came with little scratches/indents inside the pocket doors to hang necklaces. The necklace hooks themselves were not covered with styrofoam to prevent them from coming into contact with the door. This also caused some of them to bend slightly. There was also a minor crack in the wood where the lid connects to the hinge. In addition, there were some minor changes with the product description. The amazon description states that the 2nd small drawer has 4 squares, and the 3rd small drawer has 4 rectangles from front to back. This was not the case for my armoire. My 2nd small drawer has 6 squares and the 3rd small drawer is fully open like the 4th small drawer. The minor defects were not worth shipping the item back since this is a large piece of furniture. Overall, I am happy with the armoire.
